The tips below are important to keep a hand-made wood work beautiful and useful in the time.

Never wash it not by hand neither in dishwasher (except where the label specifies it), do not use soap or other products potentially toxic or corrosive, just use a soft damp cloth.

Keep the wood work in a dry place, away from heat and direct sunshine.

Every object is treated with the right finish to emphasize shape, veins and peculiarity of the wood keeping in mind the use made for, for example, food safe finish if intended to contain food it.
